DIY – Do It Yourself Websites

For those of you just starting out, you can DIY it. First you’ll need a domain name and a hosting service.

I recommend BlueHost (Yes this is an affiliate link.) You can register your domain name and host your site with them. A domain name costs about $11 per year and hosting costs about $90 per year.

They have one-button wordpress installation, which will get you started lickety-split on setting up a blog. A blog is just a type of website. You can use wordpress a website without a blog. Just look at this site – without the blog tab you would probably consider it to be a regular website.

You can chose from over one million free themes for your wordpress site. you can find these at: WordPress. This is by far the cheapest and easiest way to get started.
